Cluster Trasporti presented today the new Open Innovation digital platform connected to the clustertrasporti.it website.
It is a large database that will represent a space for communication and sharing of information and data for the Cluster members but also for the whole automotive and transport world.
“In this particularly important moment of confrontation today, we are opening a new season of activity for Cluster Trasporti by providing a useful tool for all associates, companies, research bodies and universities – explained the president Ennio Cascetta. – The Cluster proposes different purposes, first of all promote awareness that the world of transport is experiencing epochal, radical and fast changes. Starting from the technological developments related to the world of autonomous and connected vehicles: a revolution that is changing the sector in all respects.” “The Cluster then proposes to intervene in the development process of research and high level studies, contributing to a transversal dissemination of knowledge. Among the missions of the Cluster is that of acting as a place of application of the projects, enhancing the Italian realities and supporting the institutions in their work for the national interest, but also helping to channel priorities and strategies of the world of production and research. Finally, the association aims to define an efficient orientation for the spending of public funds to maximize the impact on the country”. Such intentions, added Cascetta, require a new dynamism of the Cluster with greater involvement of its members and with the intention to opening up more and more to the outside world and to that of the stakeholders.
Antonella Trombetta, secretary general of the Cluster, in her speech took stock of the situation with respect to the activities that see the association directly involved. “The open innovation platform we present today is focused on sustainable mobility: it is a tool created to share information and data also looking to a future connection with other existing regional platforms – explained Trombetta -. It allows direct communication between members with a view to a future expansion of the channel outside the Cluster itself. We have worked to create a logical mapping to optimize the search functionality that will be at the service of all ”.
Gianpiero Mastinu, coordinator of the scientific council, introduced the part of the webinar dedicated to illustrating the practical procedures for registration and data entry by members in the digital platform. “The working Group Leaders and the Scientific Council have worked hard to define the mapping of the activities, value chains and areas of specialization of the actors of the National Sustainable Mobility – said Mastinu -. It is important to emphasize that everyone was motivated by the desire to actively contribute to the advancement of Open Innovation activities in favor of the growth and development of the nation. Special thanks to Eng. Sabbadini for setting up the work “.
